Mold Remediation

Mold is a moisture problem first. Spraying it and walking away never works because the water that fed it is still there. We remove the growth, treat and seal the surfaces, and fix the moisture source so you are not paying to do it twice.

Signs you need mold remediation

• Black, green or white fuzzy growth on joists, drywall or block
• Musty or earthy smell that gets worse in humid weather
• Allergy or breathing symptoms that improve when you leave the house
• Past water damage that was dried but never treated
• A home inspection report calling out mold in the crawl space or basement

How we do it

1. Moisture investigation

   Thermal imaging and moisture readings find what is feeding the growth: seepage, humidity, a leak or poor ventilation.

2. Containment

   The work area is sealed off and put under negative air pressure so spores do not spread through the house.

3. Removal

   Growth is physically removed from framing and surfaces. Ruined drywall, insulation and contents are bagged and hauled out.

4. Treatment and sealing

   Cleaned wood is treated with an antimicrobial and, where appropriate, sealed.

5. Moisture control

   Encapsulation, drainage, dehumidification or a leak repair so the conditions that grew mold are gone.
